So defined, ripped from historical context, the term
means next to nothing.  You could as easily--and
correctly--say Bach was a Mormon in his heart and
mind.  

Part of what is definitive of romanticism is a
rejection of order and balance as esthetic ends and
earmarks.  One thinks, e.g., of Berlioz.  Such has
nothing to do with Bach.
