I've long considered myself the missing Beckett
character.  Murphy, Molloy, Moran, Malone, Mercier,
Mahood, Monroe.  Note that "m" is the 13th letter, and
on those "sucking stones," cf. Leibniz's monads. 
Okay, dammit, it's hard enough to get back to Pynchon
without wanting now to reread my other fave author ...
