Will some of you scholars out there please help me out
and let me know who actually won the face-off between
Porpentine and Moldweorp? And why does Victoria
choose Goodfellow instead of the "new music" man,
HBS? Is her choice to witness the humanity of
Porpentine- and seal his fate- what saves Goodfellow,
providing him another opportunity to fail later on?

Does Victoria represent freedom? She seems in
league with HBS, somehow, as the paranoid Porp
suggests- they are all involved. HBS also hints at
being a free agent; he doesn't have to throw the switch;
it's a conscious decision, isn't it, to turn off thinking?

Are Victoria and HBS working toward the same
ends (vertex) with the distance between them
getting smaller and smaller; working to exclude
the muddled middle-ground of the old dispensation?

respectfully
