My periodic plea (which I imagine will once again go unheeded) to use plain 
text settings in your e-mail. Those of us who subscribe to the digest get 
such garbage from formatted text that it is nearly impossible to pick out 
the signal from the noise.

Not that this list has much signal these days anyhow. A new record in my 7.5 
years here--seven digests when I logged in after about 48 hours away. And, 
sad but true, I could count the posts I bothered to read without even taking 
off my shoes or pants.

I know I know--I don't do my fair bit to help the situation either.
