<<You're [sic] anti-intellectualism, at its morally
pretentious, vacuously condemnatory best.>>
This gem may pass without comment.
<<I am no fan of religions, and I find taboos - like
being unable to criticize one religion - to be
worthless. If you'd like to discuss this in a mature
manner, you can email me personally.
Oh, and read the title: "Re: why throwing around
words like 'anti-semitism' is fascism">>
First of all, you--or this crude yokel you're so
pleased to quote--are not criticizing a religion,
you're demagoguing supposed Jewish influence, a very
different thing and a practice with a long and sordid
history. Your confusing the two is either
intentional, confirming you a lowlife; or
unintentional, a matter of your being too dim to see
the difference. Not that the former rules out the
latter.
Noting anti-Semitic speech and writing when it occurs
is calling something what it is and not a matter of
"throwing around words." You may believe
characterizing it as such, or as fascism, frames you
as defender and practitioner of free speech, besieged
by closed and small minds. It does not.
And there is nothing "mature" in stooping to discuss
such ideas with their mouthpieces.
