Maaaan, I feel like i know you, I've seen you hundreds of times! You're
that usually shy and slightly overweighted metal-head who always carry a
green-ketchup-spotted Napalm Death T-Shirt (did you sell all your Grand
Funk Railroad records at 10 cause they reminded you too much of Roland de
Lassus' Motets?) and a German copy of "The Will of Power" dedicated by
Elizabeth. ...a sort of overgrown self-hating version of Isaiah Two
Four (without the sense of humour one could detect in the original
one...). By the way, don't you collect pictures of serial-killers too?
My friend Dave Kerman would call you a Josh... but this is quite
idiosyncratic... Lemme tell you how I see the Josh: you think you're a
special guy, a subtle mix of encyclopedic intellectual and revolutionnary
"Lord of Darkness", that you probably understood the whole thing, that you
made those connections we - poor sheeps - were not able to make (for
instance... Wagner and Judas Priest... I dug that one!), that your
open-mindness is probably the only reason why people in general don't
understand you and you consequently sleep alone...
no offense! just how I feel it, and I guess I might be wrong. But it kinda
makes it funnier to depict you like that... At least, you're funny
this time!
Oups... Was THIS ad hominem?
PS: I apologize for my bad english... But you'll see what I mean...
PS2: I fully understand this mail is a little bit offending. Please just
take it as an attempt to put some fun in this whole thing... As far as I'm
concerned, I always found Pynchon hilarious; that's is ability to bring and
keep a smile on my face even when depicting angst or apocalypse that made
me love his work more than his erudition, that would have been nothing if
exposed with apathy or coldness.
PS3: I would be pleased to argue on a more solid and accurate ground with
Mr. Anus (or you prefer if I call you Prozac?), but I am a victim of the
language barreer. I have been a silent listener (or should I say reader) of
many arguments here, and it is quite frustrating not to be involved in
there with all the linguistic accuracy required.
PS4: I think Prozac is far more offending than any of us here (including
this mail, which is a joke...); he disguises his attacks under the blanket
of objectivity and intellectual honesty. But I suspect a secret failure
behind his apparent devotion to the rules of the ethic of discussion.
But I can unsubscribe if this mail is too offending. At least, it shows its
real intention.
