 ~ when i heard delillo reading from "mao II" in the literaturhaus at the 
 alster, i found him quite likable and was also impressed by his rhythmical ways 
 of reading: "there they came into american sunlight ..." when i try to do     
 "underworld", however, i always have the strong feeling to read - sorry! - a   
 pynchon for the poor. "superficial", indeed....  i never made it beyond the    
 first 50 pages --- kai 

 ps. kirsten is reading mccarthy as if she was paid for doing so: these days  
 she's enjoying "all the pretty horses" ~~~
