You seem to be saying the Pyncher should have devoted a paragraph or two
to how Dennis acquired his upper middle class affluence. One can't very
plausibly cast off bourgeois comforts and respectability without first
going through the (not always pretty) process of acquiring them. Or did
the Flanges have immensely rich and indulgent parents?
