humble? oh god. not another humorless one. 

this is a pynchon list, but i got no problem talking
about other books. but we need a book. is there a book
in this list? no. no discussion of philosophy or
literature here. to do that we need a book in common. 
that means getting a few folks on the same page. but
that's not so easy to do. best chances of that
happening here is with a pynchon book. otherwise the
list is opened up to the kind of nonsense we've been
reading.

oh, i've read this and i've read that! good for you,
son, but did you read what Salon said about Guardian's
racist essay on lord of the rings? yeah, and I read
those books when i was tweleve but i'm quite convinced
the man was a racist, kinda goes with the white
environment he was raised in. yeah, nurture/nature and
both/and and whatever else connected to everything and
anything. 



and yet, when we have a book to talk about there is 
silence and cut and paste and google gop. i know,
let's talk about the pynchon mention in the iraq
op-ed. how about that pynchon blurb. yeah, did you see
the documentary on plato's drug store? yeah, how about
them logoscentric language games. gotta love them. 

you know anything about bicycles? I know a little
about them, but I need to know more cause I'm planning
to spend a lot of money on one. quick, goo google me a
hundered links. jeeez thanks. oh, maybe the gaddis
list can help me decide if i should refinace my
mortgage now or wait and see if rates drop to zero.
