I would say that Orwell is what Woolf calls materialist while P and N
are Modernists. That's only one reason why I criticize P for his Watts
essay and his Mr. McAfee (although the TSI is a wonderful tale), his
Sphere in V. ... etc. Orwell's depiction of the working class is
offensive to working class people and to readers generally.
