Granted that Friedman knows more about Israel than
anybody else (willing suspension of disbelief), he's
still written nothing that indicates he has anything
like the grasp of world affairs that Pynchon
demonstrates in V., The Crying of Lot 49, Gravity's
Rainbow, Vineland, Mason & Dixon.
