What means Zoyd?

In the first chapter of VL, I was saying to myself,
"zoyd means something, doesn't it." By the second
chapter, I remembered android and then freakazoid.

I went to my cache of treasured texts and grepped
"iod", did a reverse line, and word count, keeping
just the oid's, and pasted a re-reversed column in:
