I recently read Vidal's latest: "Dreaming War,"   a collection of essays
containing an extremely persuasive condemnation of foreign policy by both
Democrats and Republicans since 1945. Vidal is a fascinating curmudgeon.
I recommend this book to anyone who still believes that Truman dropped
the bomb to end world war II.
