Anybody seen the Wyatt Mason review of James Wood's The Book Against God in
the new Harpers? Pynchon's name (among many others) is dragged around, a
piece of Pale Fire (the "Chum, you've got really bad halitosis" note) is
used to illustrate the concept of the unreliable narrator, of which there is
a lengthy discussion, and Mason performs the neat trick of liking Wood's
novel but flunking him on criticism.

As far as I can tell it's only available in print. God bless Lewis Lapham.
