NPPF -- no need to relate to Pynchon . . . .?

Is it possibly just a little early in the game to be condemning the PF read
for lack of Pynchon content, inasmuch as the discussion has so far
considered in detail only Nabokov's title, dedication, and epigraph? That's
about 60 words, and 56 of 'em (or however many words are in the epigraph)
have in fact been laid against the Vineland epigraph in a little side trip
of interest to friends of domestic animals, if not Pynchon scholars. I'm
just sayin'.
