Looking forward to your future posts, Kevin, but I
respectfully disagree with your characterization
above.

We are there -- i.e., the Pale Fire discussion has
begun -- and the Pynchon content is remarkably (as in,
many P-listers have remarked on it) thin.

A better analogy might be the customer who buys a
package of something, opens it, discoverers that it's
not as advertised, complains about the
bait-and-switch, then offers constructive advice to
the manufacturer to correct the problem.
