this from "Babies in Wackiness..."

p. 4 "elegant little...chain saw, about the size of a Mini-Mac" Mini-Mac =
the Mac-10 machine pistol of US make. Zoyd's lady-like chainsaw goes well
with his drag costume, and the effeminate clientele (drinking "kiwi
mimosas.") It also makes a nice almost-rhyme with Sheriff Willis Chunko's
gold-handled chainsaw on page 373.

But I think the Mac-10 link is, er, a stretch.

Because there IS a real Mini-Mac chainsaw, made by McCulloch.

To wit:

http://www.mccullochpower.com/history.htm

"In 1968, McCulloch introduced the Power Mac 6; weighing only 8.5 pounds
fully fueled; it was the world's lightest chain saw. The affordable Mini Mac
1, introduced in 1972 opened the chain saw market to the casual user."
