That's even clearer if you recall Boyd Beaver (I mentioned this in a post
y'day that doesn't seem to have made the digest, though 'tis in the
archive), a kazoo soloist mentioned en passant on page 6 of _The Crying of
Lot 49_.

Not only does "Boyd" echo Zoyd *and* the name of Nabokov's "Boswell," b-but
Kinbote is "known on campus as the Great Beaver." (book is elsewhere, so
quoting dangerously from memory, no cite...)
