Yes, I think you're correct.  It's not a grasshopper.  The only shells I've
seen are brown, but they are "frog-eyed" and they do hug the side of a tree
trunk.

The cicada would exemplify a resurrection of sorts: emergence from the earth,
shedding of an old skin, reproduction cycle, begin again.
