June 2 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva
proposed the world's richest countries tax arms sales and use the
proceeds
to eliminate hunger, Folha de S. Paulo reported. 
Lula, in a speech at the annual summit of the Group of Eight nations in
Evian., France, also urged rich nations to set aside a portion of
interest
payments from poorer countries to finance anti- hunger programs, the
paper reported.
