That was not what you asked. You asked me to acknowledge I was being
elitist. I declined. I took the time to respond in some detail, in the
hope that the exchange might proceed productively. Given the
opportunity, you demonstrated your inability to carry on a reasonable
conversation. I think they call it a fumble, don't they?

At no point did I say that. At no point did I imply that. Sorry to bore
you with details, but you'll have to go back and read what I wrote. It
was only this morning; you can't have forgotten this soon. But I was
forgetting. It must be noon by now in your parts.

I'm only sorry you couldn't think of another one-liner. You might have
asked. Since I'm talking to myself, I could have easily supplied both
sides of the conversation.

If and when you bother to contribute anything whatsoever to a discussion
of Pynchon's work I'm sure we'll find more to talk about. Tell me what
profound wisdom you wish to impart and I'll even write that for you.
