Hitler but they needed the Soviet leader to defeat Germany. It's been the

Red Army, the Eastern front, Stalingrad & the heroic efforts of the Russian

people that in the end broke the nazi's neck, not the allied bombing of

German cities or Patton's tanks.

I don't dare to think about what would have happened if Hitler hadn't

attacked the Soviet Union.

It's clear that it was the Russian phony antifascists that beat
the nazis, although it would have been quicker and easier if the
allies had shared the information they were obtaining via Bletchley
Park, but they didn't. The Red Army did it on their own. The allies
were content to sit back and watch The Reds dismantle the nazi
war machine, while sustaining enormous casualties themselves.

The most egregious example of doublethink being the justification
for the atomic bombings of Japan is left unalluded to in the
foreword (so much the more conspicuous thereby) except maybe
the ironic: "the quantum paradox of being alive and dead at the same
time." (xii)- another one of those forks in the road America decided
to take or not, as you like it. America, as DL, will be working off that
karmic debt for some some time to come. Admitting it might be a
good first step. But many here do not believe that is the Right thing
to do. The Germans seem so much more advanced in that regard.
