Not even in the same ballpark.
The other odd thing is how it's being claimed that Bush and Blair and their
minions lied and fabricated evidence relating to Saddam's WMD, that it was
all a huge conspiracy, and that even if they do find evidence of WMD now how
could we trust it, it'll just have been planted by the CIA etc.
If this is the case, if it was a set-up from the start, then you'd imagine
they would have planted and "found" the evidence straight away, wouldn't
they? Rather than coming up empty-handed and appearing foolish or deceitful?
Seems to me they believed, perhaps wrongly but certainly understandably on
past experience, that Saddam was lying about his arsenal and his intentions.
