Does very little discussion of the creative, artistic process and how
the prose offered by Orwell brings about a coherent POV and effect in
the reader.

an analysis of what devices conjured through the artistic process

Pynchon does very little of this in the foreward.<<

>Pynchon "does very little" of what in the Foreword?

He constantly offers his interpretations of what the text "means" (eg.
"the
Winston-Julia story", Orwell's Appendix), discusses what readers at
various
times wrongly thought it meant, addresses "Orwell's intention"
throughout
the essay, and he focuses on the text from an overtly political
perspective.
