I'm afraid you added the "n."   It's Pichon, and the passage in question
refers to a series of photographs and books that young Humbert equates with
early childhood sexual awakening.  Although I'm not familiar with Pichon's
"sumptuous _La Beaute Humaine_," I wouldn't put it past Nabokov that it's
pure invention.  But I could be wrong.
