Realistically, how many essays are there likely to be?  Although I read from 
time to time that there are hundreds of subscribers to this list, our voter 
turnout when there's an issue to be decided makes it look like there are maybe a 
dozen participants.  So is it more likely that there will be hundreds of 
pages of essays or ten?  Thanks to anyone who may know the answer--it seems to me 
that Dave's concept would work and be quite interesting if the number is 
somewhere between the orders of magnitude possible.
