Partly from principles of opposition and partly because it would be
disappointing to let the opportunity pass unaided, I would have myself
on the Pale Fire list.  Vineland is not among my favorite books, and PF
is in my top 5 though I haven't read it since college (where I took a
seminar in VN and may still possess copious notes on PF worth
contributing to a discussion).  If nabokov-l was even slightly as
entertaining as pynchon-l I wouldn't bother chiming in on the matter.
