By the way, I think the use of "Nabby" is about as improper and unrespectful
as calling Shakespeare "Billy" (of course, you say "Will" -- he's English).
When discussing Nabokov, I believe he would have preferred "Mr. Nabokov" (or
even "Mr. N.").

But "Nabby"?  Never.
