from yesterday's New York Times:

PUBLIC LIVES

In Martha Stewart's Corner, a Tough Cookie

By JAN HOFFMAN

ROBERT G. MORVILLO...

Like his client, Mr. Morvillo, 65, is one tough cookie. He has stood at
the side of politicians, billionaires, oil barons and Merrill Lynch; he
is considered a muscular negotiator with a prodigious memory, a daunting
trial lawyer, a dean of the white-collar defense bar.

...

Sportswise, these days, he is pretty much down to golf ("look at me!" he
snorts, pointing to his girth). To alleviate stress, says Mr. Morvillo,
who has four sons, four grandchildren and two vacation homes, he tinkers
with a board game he has designed called Ladders of Literature, with
3,600 literary trivia questions. He pulls out a mock-up, with categories
like "Books to Movies" and "Quips and Quotes."

Although the game reflects his omnivorous reading habits, from Stephen
King to Suetonius, it is limited by his sensibility.

"Thomas Pynchon makes me work too hard!" protests Mr. Morvillo, with a
charming whine. "I'm lazy. Tell me a story! Besides, I can't communicate
to a jury in Pynchon-ese!"
