VL & camp rerun nostalgia

A longstanding fascination of mine, such postmodern
self-fashioning.  I can trace several of my own
idiosyncracies to the first few seasons of "Saturday
Night Live" (esp. Dan Aykroyd, esp. Dan Aykroyd as
Richard M. Nixon--"well let me just say this about
that"), and, likely, "Star Trek," Planet of the Apes
and "Monty Python's Flying Circus" as well.  But I do
suspect that, along such lines, we are indeed living
largely in a post-Seinfeldian era these days ...
