I assumed Eric was extending the idea of rereading to Derrida's
"double-reading" and this is why I noted that his paraphrase was
inaccurate.


In any event,  when we look at the text it's clear that what  Nabokov
say is accurate in its implications if not in its facts. N advise is
good advise. A good reader is a rereader. A double-reader is horse of a
different color.
