Very true. 9-11 is only a sideshow. What the book might be said to be
mainly about is the ability of preternaturally (and ruthlessly) powerful
organizations and stupendously gifted (and exceedingly hip) individuals
to fiddle with a public mind and consciousness deeply mired is a sea of
advertising slogans, trendy fashions, internet jargon, and advanced
video. All the supposed reality of Our Present.
