Hello old p-list, my refuge in times of trouble

So, after a 3 year hiatus from you cyber-wonks, I resubscribed just because I KNEW I'd get articles like this one.

A-and just how scary is it that I think of you guys (and gals) as a refuge of sanity in these here times?  I must be barking mad. (Or the world is . . .)
