Still, I'm curious:  what, exactly, is my strawman?  I
think (1) there is purpose and merit in prescribing a
standard grammar; and (2) I find the arguments for
Black grammar weak, its implementation and practice
destructive.  Pretty much everything I've written in
this thread reflects those points.

And it was Abdiel or whomever who infused this
argument with racial name-calling.

If Abdiel is Terrance (whoever "Terrance" is--I had
believed him a rather neurotic gay man, living in New
York), it's all a pretty shameful ruse.
