Assimilationism is always demeaning.
So is cosmopolitanism, which insists we all be forced to be like one another through "culture."
I am in favor of black Nationalism as I am in favor of every other race being Nationalistic.
One of Pynchon's enduring rejoinders is not to trust the International among us.
Of course, this puts us here:
Nationalists/Conservatives
versus
Internationalists/Liberals
So it'll be unpopular on this list but, the position that grants black people the most respect is one that acknowledges their independence as a culture.
No matter what the east coast wankers say.
