The irony is many fold.  He ran out the communists from Iraq, but he adopted
the model of Communism's 1st or 2nd (China Vs. Russia) greatest slaughterer of
its own populace, all for Control.  Of course "one's own" can be very slimly
defined.  This has nothing to do with the Cold War in terms of his goals vis a
vi political economic theory.  Sadaam is concerned with power, control,
absolute obedience at the most intimate levels.  You are right, allies are hard
to define here.

BTW,
How many grammar erors above, or herein, not to mention spelling, have you all
[Southern?] been able to detect?  Do I deserve a dialect in my name?  I don't
know myself, but I submit this post for your dissection, despite its tedium
[Beckett influence].
