Whatever he's calling himself these days quoting
Dewey:

This shouldn't be understood, except in error, as a
call for new and different for the sake of new and
different.  One recalls the New Math.

The above one reason that people are taught not merely
to speak, spell, communicate, but to do so according
to a standard, since the context of education for most
is the commercial future--jobs, advancement, higher
education--which adheres to, and requires familiarity
with, a standard.
