I agree.  The one thing I take from MMIV is what seems to be Pynchon's
love/hate relationship with TWSC.  This group is in V, COL49, and becomes the
Counterforce in GR.  Pynchon seems to embrace them in the later stories as
pitiful, but all we've got...
