Baghdad without telephone service

The humanitaritan toll is starting to rise. I invite you to
envision a common urban situation- your 60 year-old
apolitical uncle or father comes inside pale, clutching
his chest, complaining of pain and shortness of breath.

Clearly he needs medical attention. You sit him down
and pick up the phone to call for help, but there is no
dial tone.

Multiply this scenario by many thousands of times. If
any one were to completely knock out the telephone
service of a city the size of Boston or Chicago, they
would be considered a terrorist. Coalition forces have
just inflicted this same type of terror on Baghdad.
