>>>How many years ago was that, Keith? I can see that it
must have been pretty painful and embarrassing for
you.<<<

Many. It was actually an incredible experience. The highlight was sitting
down in the library at UCSB, opening The Proceedings of The Council of
Maryland, and seeing text that I was certain Pynchon had fabricated, right
there in a historical record. "Jump, dog. Leap, Bitch!" in a wedding
ceremony? There it was, and much more concerning the escapades of Shelby and
the Hynes, etc etc. With not much editing by TRP. Pretty much cut and paste.
I really was shocked. Very fun. And then declaring I was making it all up on
April Fool's Day, only to have Tim Ware not realize I was April Fooling
(that I had made it up) and email me in a rage as he had just entered all
the text from PCM on his website.

>>>Ah. Nobody took you seriously when you tried to join
the discussion, now you'll show them.<<<

Well, actually the material was taken quite seriously, that wasn't the
problem.

>>>And you're happy to take their money for the privilege
aren't you, friend in need that you are.<<<

Well, as much as I try Henry Miller's techniques, no one ever offers, nor
loans me money.

>>>Thanks for sharing. Like, uh, rilly.<<<

You're welcome. Thanks for your interest and attention.

What do you think Pynchon's point in the fascist passage are? Is it clear to
you? What is your reading?
