Yes, the way you have "bowdlerized" (as jbor would
say) the statement I originally wrote, you have made
it so.  I said that having written Vineland would
suffice to get him the assignment to write the
foreword, and I said that without 9-11 he doesn't
write this foreword, he'd write a different one.
