Yes, you, Terrance, Mackin, and jbor have repeated
this consistently for several days now and continue to
provide no convincing reason why the Foreword should
not be read as a part of post-9/11 discourse, why we
should have to block the contemporary meanings of the
word "homeland" out of consciousness when Pynchon uses
the word in the Foreword, ignore it when Pynchon
echoes the current comparisons of Churchill and Bush, 
the current clashes of fundamentalist religious
institutions, etc. The four of you have made an
extraordinarily lame case for ignoring Pynchon's 9-11
references in the Foreword.
