In my reading of Paul N. and Dave's arguments, I saw neither coming to the
conclusion that P. was calling Bush a fascist nor criticizing the aftermath
of 9/11. I thought they both came to the conclusion that P. was noncommittal
regarding such specifics. I have seen no one go through the passage(s) point
by point and come up with clarity regarding Pynchon's view about post-9/11
America. I have just seen people going "Oh come one you nitpicking fools.
It's right there as obvious as day."
