You know things are getting near to desperation point when both the
eulenspiegel and the slothenvypride cards have popped out of the deck.
Wonder if we'll see the big one and slothrop666 deuces turned up this
time round to make the full house?

Seems as if Pynchon's essay just doesn't say what they want it to ...
