Only Doug has been relentlessly SPAMMING this list, which is supposed to be
devoted to the writings of Thomas Pynchon, with political tracts and at every
turn tries to prove (actually he never tries to prove, he just pronounces) that
Pynchon's writings advocate Doug's politics.  Doug is the only one who does
this.  We might all have our politics, but we don't all try to bash each other
over the head with them.  And Doug is unique in his insistence that Pynchon's
politics agree with Doug.  Most of the rest of us don't claim to have a handle
on Pynchon's politics.

But you knew that, you prevaricator.
