No, Keith, I didn't leave out "bombs falling". Check again. It's in the paragraph preceeding the list. Up there along with the first "homeland," see?
But you're partially right. I did leave out some words because they didn't have meaning to me personally. Like "controlling wages" for example. I just don't know very much about that kind of thing. But give it to someone else--maybe Terrance or Paul or Dave or Doug--and who knows what present-day images it might conjure up.
