Another point worth remembering, most of the people I know who were
there that day had been bombed. The bomb didn't fall, however, it was
driven into the building.

My brother was walking down to get his car when it went off.

I got one of my brother's cars from the city this time round. It had
been condemned, but it just needed a car-wash.

Some of them have returned to the area to work again. Others have been
relocated outside Manhattan. It's worth noting that after the car
bombing many of the companies and exchanges rented or purchased
buildings or building space outside Manhattan and had them all ready to
go in case the Towers were bombed again. Can you imagine the fear after
being hit twice. Lots of people who worked in the buildings also lived
close by. The destruction included residences, fire departments,
churches, stores, banks, restaurants, parks, subway system, etc.. No
bombs fell, but the result was, I imagine, pretty much what happens when
lots of bombs fall or maybe a real big one. Don't you think?
