All I can say for certain is that when I am writing
it opens the floodgates, and all manner of material
starts spewing forth. Then when I research the material
connections start popping up which stoke the process
in directions beyond my original intent. A similar process
happens when I read and research the writings of
an author like Pynchon.

Conceptualizing this leads to obscurum per obscurius.
