Point is, what's in the air? Say, a couple of
jetliners cruising slightly below the skyline. The
key notion here is, gov't response to an attack on the
"homeland" (and keep in mind, an increasing frequency
of the word in otherwise non-"security" contexts might
well merely indicate its increasing pervasiveness as a
result of its peculiar deployment in light of the WTC
attack). Again, by the time you get to the DOD ...
but it hardly takes that long ...
