in heaven or in hell, beasts, mute asses and sheep who kneeled down
beside the Infant in the manger, will be blessed with the gift of
speech. what rules of propriety will protect me? what policing of
statements? who will control sexual enunciation: where and when it is
not possible to talk about the thing I am about? what discourse will be
strictly defined as that which one doesn't say to an angel about god's
servants on earth? will their be places of utter silence? if not, will
there be at least places of tact and discretion? among which speakers
will I be permitted the use of abstractions and metaphors, winks, nods,
cash under the table? under what circumstances may I plead the 5th?
